I presume we are talking DC voltages here. The motor will run slower on 9 VDC that on 12 VDC.

Which is faster Lamborgini or Ferrari?

It depends, it has to do with the weight, horsepower, and size of motor. The heavier the car is the slower. The less horsepower the car is slower. and if the motor is small the slower it goes.

What should you do to make an electric motor slower?

What you can do is either add more components or lessen the volts of the battery.

What is the main difference between gasoline- powered and electric hybrid cars?

The main difference is in hybrid cars there are a small petrol engine and a electric motor. When the car is driving along at slower speeds the Electric motor is driving the car while the petrol engine recharges the battery but when the speed is greater the Engine And Electric Motor Drives The Car

What is the difference between manual typewriter and electric typewriter?

One is run from the mains, is slightly faster and is more pricey (ELECTRIC), and the other (MANUAL) is simply more portable cheaper, but slightly slower on response

Why do we have speed limits?

Speed limits are for when there are certain areas that need cars to go slower or to show that they can go faster. E.G on a motor way you can go faster that when you are on a normal street where their are houses.

How do you make a 1998 club car go faster?

Depends if its gas or electric, either way a larger motor, in electric you can up the voltage a little

How does a hybrid car operate?

A hybrid car, operates on a gas motor, and an electric motor, charged by energy given off from the brakes or axles. The gas motor propels the car at the higher r.p.m.s, and the electric motor at the lower ones, because the batteries that power the electric motor aren't nearly as strong as a gas motor so to go faster the gas motor switches on, and you speed up. As you brake, or as the axles turn, the batteries recharge to power the electric motor, and the cycle restarts when you slow down.

How long does it take to drive 1 mile?

What is the function of an electric motor in terms of electric power and motor?

The electric motor changes electric energy into mechanical energy.

What changes electric energy into motion?

An electric motor

How can you determine if an electric motor is 50HZ or 60HZ if there is no name plate?

One way would be to hook it up to a supply (by itself, with no load) and measure the speed with a contact tachometer. If your supply is 60Hz, and the motor speed corresponded to one of the standard motor speeds, it would be a pretty safe bet you had a 60Hz motor. If the speed was about 20% faster than a standard speed, the motor is probably a 50Hz motor. Or 20% slower if you were running a 60Hz motor on 50Hz For instance, a 1750 RPM 50Hz motor would spin at about 2100 RPM if you ran it on 60Hz.
