No. Older chipsets, such as the Intel 945 and older do not have the necessary support for a Core 2 Duo processor, even though they are often found on boards with an LGA775 socket. They also do not have the proper Front Side Bus speed, so even if the processor ran, it wouldn't reach its proper speed.
