It only works with the dock it came with. It won't work on the nano or touch docks.
Any iPod dock will work. You just need the 3rd generation slide to put in the dock so the iPod can stand upright correctly.
12/24/07 I called Ihome and was told that the Ihome 2Go product does not work with the 3rd generation Ipod Nano.
No, as of April 2008, Ipod Linux does not work ipod nano generations 2 - 4. It does work with the 1st generation though. edit: Now you can it is fully supported
Neither works better, but i like the iPod nano third generation. It is alot smaller, but still does video.
The speakers would need to know the iPod Nano models, such as 1st generation, 2nd generation, 3rd genetation, and so on. They would also have to know the hardware features, such as the screen, touchscreen, memory, accelerometer, FM tuner, and the lightning dock connector.
usb cords seem to be the same with all Apple products, so the answer is most likely yes. I would test it to see.
