No, only a certain range(size) of turbo will work(efficiently) for a 1.6 diesel at the rpm range, boost throttle response you want. Link below is to one of the best turbo calculators, IMHO.
The diesel turbo can only fit on a Volvo 850 with a little fabrication.
No, a turbocharger must be appropriately sized for the engine.
IDK if it will fit, but it did I dont think you could even get that turbo spooled up on a 3.9L engine.
yes you can fit a dumpvalve.you can fit a dumpvalve to any car with a turbo even deisels.my car hasn't got a intercooler so i have had to drill and weld a flange on my air intake elbow and this has worked fine...

A turbo can be made to fit any car
Yes. Starter/Bellhousing issues
In general, the compatibility of a Peugeot 2.1 turbo diesel engine with a 2.3 or 2.5 non-turbo bell housing depends on the specific engine and model configurations. While some components may be interchangeable, differences in engine mounts, starter motor placement, and transmission alignment can complicate the fit. It's important to consult technical specifications or an expert to determine if any modifications are needed for a successful installation.
The sensors are not there I dont think. You will have to get them from a Turbo Diesel engine and prob fit the sensors. ALOT OF HASSLE! Its not worth it. You could buy a turbo diesel 205 lump and fit that with the wiring loom? Still lots of work. I fitted the engine but not the loom and dont mind that I dont have a rev counter.
Most likely a 5.9 liter cummins turbo diesel 12v
well... yes.. any turbo will fit any car depending on how much you would like to modify it... but in your case.... no
I'm not sure about a 2000 model. but I just put a 2.8 liter turbo diesel in my 1989 amigo with very little fabrication. Alll I had to do was reroute a few hoses and build an exhaust system. The Isuzu turbo diesl 3.1 liter out of the Isuzu bighorn is most likely to fit in a 2000 model. I know people have done it before.
