Yes it does. The chemical is diphenadrine Spelling??? If you are tested for anti-depressants, it will definitedly show up. I just failed one, that's how i found out. I also failed for benzos, and am told it can show up as a false positive, but only on a stick test, I will no more about that once the metabolite count comes back. I did take Valium a month ago, not sure whether that should still be coming up or not.

∙ 12y agoIf you are given a oral sponge drug test,yes it can.It will show positive for amphetamines.I had this happen in recent job interviews...passed urine tests but failed a oral sponge test.They let me retake after five days because they know benadryl will affect that.

∙ 12y agoNo, Benadryl will not effect your drug test unless it is sent off to a toxicology lab. If that is the case, they will be able to see the amount in your system and be able to determine if you were using it in abnormal doses or if you were taking it as reccomended.

∙ 13y agoIt can false positive for several things: xanax, valium, pcp. But the secondary chemical test will clear you if benadryl is the only thing in your system.

∙ 14y agoNo! Benadryl=antihistamine, not benzo. Most run-of-the-mill, standard drug tests only test for 5 drugs; benzos wouldn't show up.

My boyfriend took a drug test the other day and he showed positive for a bunch of drugs. The thing is that, as me an eye witness, my boyfriend has not taken any drugs besides benadryl.
