Will birth control work correctly when starting after a period that only lasted one day?

Yes. You can start the pill at anytime after your period ends. You could wait one or two weeks after it's over and be okay. Just don't start it while you're on your period.

No. starting birth control in the middle of your cycle does NOT delay your period. I started it in the middle of mine and i was fine. it ended on the EXACT day that it was supposed to.
