Those hormones cause your monthly cycle. If you do not have a high enough percentage of body fat, you will not have a monthly cycle. No monthly cycle means no production of eggs, no conceiving of children.
Furthermore, if a female is still going through puberty and is bulimic, and those hormones are no longer released, and full sexual maturity is not reached, conception of a child may be completely physically impossible.
