yes they are the same for the ca16de, ca18de ca18det. :)
Hollander interchange says it will
They either work are they don't, If it's not broke, You can't fix it.
MY CORSICA, 1993 3.1 L IS FAMOUS FOR GOING THRU COIL PACKS, I KNOW IT'S BACKWARDS BUT I START WITH THE COIL PACKS AND WORK MY THRU THE TROUBLE SHOOTING STEPS, 9 TIMES OUT OF TEN I HAVE REPLACED THE COIL PACKS. CHEVY LOCATED THEM IN A POOR PLACE. TIM
Do you mean you have no spark?? if so, start with looking at the coil packs usually these are the main reason for no spark, if your coil packs are good then work your way backwards with the electrical system. posible ecu fault
I cant remember the exact name of it but you have two coil packs for your ignition under the hood. They warm up and malfunction then they work again when the car is cold. Change those coil packs and your car will run fine..
The 1988 cavalier and or jbody cars use a coil pack. You do not have a distributor and if a ignition issue is present replacing one or all coil packs are the answer.I originally stated it could have had a distributor but,was incorrect on my first response. As said if you replace the coil packs unhook your negative battery cable prior to any electrical work to prevent and problems and safety.
when each plug has its own coil the system works abit like a distributor system except it is controlled by the ecu a signakl goes from the crank sensor to the ecu which then tells the coil to "fire" thus spark this is only a simple explnation there are a few more parts involved
If you haven't already, check the leads by trying them on other plugs that are working. Usuall it is either the plugs themselves, the leads or the coil packs. If you have replaced the coil packs and it still isn't right your engine control unit (ECU) could be playing up. If so, pay someone to fix it.
how does a coil work in a MGB
Dogs, known to be "A Man's Best Friend" only work in packs in the wild. Canines can also work in packs if they are pets, but it is way less likely to work in packs more than wild ones. So, in the conclusion, the answer is: Yes, wild dogs work in packs.
the cam sensor reads speed and works with the crank position sensor to tell your coil packs when to fire your spark plugs and what cylinder to fire on
The spark plugs are under the coil packs located along the top of the motor. You must remove the resonator box from the air intake system first to access the coil packs. The coil packs are held down by long but relativly small bolts and care must be taken to loosesn them as they may snap off if you crank on them hard. try tapping them lightly before you try to loosen them. When you pull up the coil packs the plugs are in the well. Do not overtighten. It is an aluminum head and you do not want to strip the threads. Use only AC Delco Iridium replacements. They work well and are a reliable plug for 100,000 miles. Any other info on these and other GMT360 platform trucks can be found at our enthusiasts website at www.trailvoy.com
