It can, but not always.
replace the cam sensor
Crank and cam sensors, yes. Vehicle speed sensor, no.
Try the crank sensor first, then the cam sensor. without these the car will not spark. Most commonly the crank sensor though.
Cam sensor on 1996 Dodge intrepid 3.5 V6 is on the driver's side on top where the cam gear turns on the front of the engine.. Usually has a 90 deg. connector for the wires.. MUST be air gapped correctly to work proplerly.. DO NOT Bottom the sensor out against the cam gear unless the new sensor has a card board disc glued to the end of the sensor to set the gap... Good luck!
Front driver side of engine.
Cam sensor. Changed mine no more problems.
cmp snsr will not prevent the car from starting, ckp snsr would.
I just bought one for a 1997 3.5 for 35
if its the 3.5L the sensor is right on top, at the front of the engine. the cam sensor is near it just to the driver side of the top of the engine. The intake has to be loosened enough to get the cam sensor out form under it. The crank sensor is easier to get out.
It could, along with numerous other things.
yes this will stop car from starting. a bad cam sensor will also stall engine at any speed.the sensor is easy to replace.
try crank position sensor and cam shaft sensor
