I wouldn't try dishwashing liquid on your hair. There are harsh chemicals in it for degreasing and such, not good. I went to Cosmetology school, and I would recommend finding a Sally's or other public beauty supply where you live. They will have shampoos designed for "stripping" dye out of your hair. You can do that and then re-dye it at the desired brown. If that option sounds a little extreme, try a deep clarifying shampoo followed by a shampoo and conditioner set called "Shimmer Lights" which are a bluish purple product designed to tint out unwanted red and orange tones from your hair. They also have little tubes of blue dye that you can add to your own shampoo as an even cheaper alternative.
