Sodium.
increasing retention of sodium and water
Weight gain is not a recognized side effect of diclofenac. But diclofenac is often prescribed for muscular/joint pain, which can cause people to move around less. And lack of exercise is well known to lead to weight gain. As is comfort eating, which is fairly common to lapse into when you're feeling a bit sorry for yourself.
Reduce your sodium intake, as a high sodium diet is the leading cause of water retention.
First you need to be aware of what Diclofenac Sodium/Hydrchloride you are on. I've been taking Dicolofenac Sodium fir almost three years, and doesn't cause you any symotons when you take ibuprofen
Can anesthesia cause fluid retention
yes it can if you have healthy low blood pressure it can become extra low after donation of blood, and that can cause inproper blood transport to the organs including kidneys, this again after turn gives water retention as e.g. sodium clerance is reduced by a sleapy kidney, until the condition might normalize, evt via reduced sodium intake.
An excess of sodium will lead to hypertension or "high blood pressure" which may cause further illness such as kidney disease, cardiovascular problems, cerebrovascular problems and other vascular diseases; also edema or "water retention" and osteoporosis in women. A low sodium intake can decrease the amount of water retention in cells and decrease function in nerve pulses and muscles. It is not recommended that you take sodium tablets though, even if you think your sodium is low. While eating your next meal you will get enough sodium.
Aldosterone will cause salt-retention and thereby H2O retention because of the osmotic gradient.
It doesn't. It actually has more sodium than most other vegetables. This leads to more water weight kept in the body. The only way to counter the sodium is to eat a lot of potassium. Sodium and potassium are exact opposites when it comes to water retention.
