It's difficult to say how a rabbit will react to a barking dog, without knowing the details of the situation. Some possibilities include:
- The sound of a dog barking somewhere in the distance is unlikely to cause this level of stress in a rabbit, no matter what.
- If the dog is in the room with the rabbit and barking at her, that is very traumatic and it's definitely enough to scare her into killing her kits.
- If the dog is nearby but not in the room, and the rabbit is already under a lot of stress, and perhaps has been traumatised by dogs in the past, the barking dog could be the "straw that broke the camel's back," leading to her killing her kits. But a rabbit with this kind of temperament shouldn't be breeding in the first place. Breeding takes a toll on the body and the emotions: only healthy, happy rabbits should be allowed to breed.
