One donut does not make a person fat. However, too many donuts can make a person 'fat'. Donuts are high in fat content, but if you burn off the calories (both from and not from fat) doing exercise, eating the donuts is not a problem. Donuts in moderation with exercise (once a week with a some exercise, two a week with a good amount of exercise, three a week with a very good amount of exercise, one for each day of the week with intense exercise, etc.) do not make you fat.
They have a lot of calories from fat. If you eat a lot of them you would gain weight.
Very fattening, a doughnut can range from 300- 600 calories, depending on the topping . Also contains a high saturated fat content.

Yea
Probably pastries but it depends. Sweets such as soda or candy can be fat free but still loaded with sugar. Pastries such as doughnuts are sweet AND very fattening. However, some pastries you can find to be low-fat, like certain types of breads. It all depends. But in the end, pastries in general will be more fattening.
A sedentary life style. There's too many fattening things out there to make a #1. Doughnuts, fast food, anything deep fried or processed, man-made garbage. Just do yourself a favor and stay away.
Zero. Zero is enough. Doughnuts are counter productive to a growing child/teenagers potential athletic abilities and health. Not to mention teaching your kids to consume large amounts at a time is probably not the best idea. Sooo, I dunno, if you MUST have doughnuts, try baking them at home yourself. It's a lot simpler than you think. You can try making whole grain doughnuts as well. I mean if you train yourself to appreciate healthier foods you get over the fact that they aren't super fattening chain doughnuts that claim to "have dat crack"..
no, peanut is not fattening

Not all doughnuts are strawberry flavoured. Some doughnuts are chocolate flavoured, vanilla flavoured, etc. There is particularly reason behind flavouring of doughnuts. Flavouring just adds to the taste of the doughnuts.
