In Bramblestar's Storm, her mate is Bumblestripe.
They will eventually. Dovewing(as Dovepaw) used to sneak out at night to see Tigerheart. But after she becomes a warrior, she ends her relationship with him, and becomes mates with Bumblestripe, but later on realizes she doesn’t feel the same way about Bumblestripe as he loves her, so they break up, I guess. And then when Tigerheart took refuge in ThunderClan, she realizes she still likes him, and becomes pregnant with his kits. Then she leaves ThunderClan to the Guardian Cats, and gives birth to the kits. When she goes back to the lake, she doesnt go back to ThunderClan and leaves ThunderClan to go to ShadowClan with Tigerheart. So I think they are mates in ShadowClan…
It is very unlikely that they will become mates. Tigerheart and Dovewing both love each other but Dovewing is mad at him for using her to get herbs. Bumblestripe and Tigerheart both show affection for Dovewing.
Tigerheart may have made Dovewing a bit wary about him from time to time. Once in one of the books, Dovewing spotted Tigerheart avoiding and nodding to Ivypool during battle. That made Dovewing think that something was going on between them that she didn't know. Things like that happen throughout the books of Omen of the Stars. Tigerheart and Dovewing soon start to fall in love but Tigerheart likes both Dovewing and Ivypool. Other than that, Tigerheart didn't do anything to harm or threaten them throughtout the books. Hope I answered your question!
