As of now Finlay is retired from the WWE. By 2010, he had retired from active competition and was involved in a back stage role in the WWE. During 2011, Finlay was released in March 2011 after authorizing the interruption of the American national anthem by The Miz during a house show, drawing ire from the National Guard members in attendance. Though he was only trying to boost Miz's image as a heel with that tactic, he accepted responsibility for the act and left the WWE.
He may come back in future but in the next few months, I don't think he is coming back.
