Yes, but it depends on the gender and breed of your pets. Some mice and hamsters are quite violent (Russian hamsters are one example), volatile pets should be kept with their own species only and even then only in small groups. Also, if both your animals are male there is a high risk of them fighting, slightly less if they are both female but it is still possible.

You can keep them together, but it's not totally easy to make sure they won't fight. Read up on the breed you're getting and maybe ask a vet before considering it, otherwise better safe than sorry - separate them.

Can hamsters and mice be put together in 1 cage if they are both males?

It is inadvisable to put any other animal in with a hamster, as they are solitary creatures, and do not require companionship. They will almost certainly fight, the outcome of which will be dead mice and an injured hamster.

Can you put two mice in the same cage And if you can Can two female mice be put in the same cage Or are two male better?

It would be a good idea to put two mice in a cage together so that they don't get lonely and bored. It would be a good choice to put two females together because they would get along very well. Putting two males together would result in alot of fighting and possibly a dead mouse. But just don't put a male and a female together because otherwise you will have mice multiply every day.

Is there any way two adult female mice that don't know each other can get along if they are in the same cage?

Yes, female mices can get along once they get used to each other. Introduce the mice outside the cage first and see how they get on. If they don't fight try this: clean the cage you are going to put them in very well (to get all the 'mouse' smell off it) and then put the female mice in the cage together at the same time. As this cage has been cleaned it should be neutral territory and therefore the female mice should not fight. If they do fight you might want to consider houseing them in different cages.

to entertain hamsters; when you have finished with toilet tubes give them in their cage or keep them in an enclosed area and let them have a bit of freedem. they like to run in a out and they enjoy chewing them. im not sure about mice i would recommend asking the nearest pets place? hope this works.

Is a ten gallon tank suitable for two mice and should I add a homemade tank topper?

I wouldn't use a tank for mice at all. It does not have good ventilation even if it has a screen on top. A wire cage is good even if its made for hamsters. It gives the mice good air and also a fun aparatus to climb on. :) Just make sure the bars are close together so your mice won't slip out.
