it may but most likely it will destroy the core of the engine.
Make sure you have engine coolant. If the engine isn't getting enough coolant, it will overheat, stall and possibly destroy the engine. One symptom is that no coolant is circulated into the heater. Also check the crank sensor, but check coolant first...then the crank sensor.
The year, make, model and engine info would help but a serious vacuum leak could do that.
If the engine is a combustion engine the the energy is first stored in the fuel then the energy is released which push the pistons. The pistons then turn the crankshaft and those, through a series of gears, make the axles rotate. The difference with the electric motor is that the fuel is electricity and alternating currents make the center rotate. So for the combustion engine it would be chemical to heat and mechanical. The electric then would be electrical to heat and mechanical.
Heat.
A bad water pump can cause your car to stall if the bearing has failed or it is causing overheating. A seized bearing will put excessive strain on the engine and stall it out.
bad battery
No, it will just stall and cease to run.
A fusible link is the same as a fuse in that it is to protect an electrical circuit. It will not cause a car to stall. Check the throttle plate and be sure it is clean.
The heater will stop getting hot when you're low on coolant. If the coolant is low enough the engine will overheat and it will be severely damaged.
Check your transmission fluid level and also if the gear chamber is not well greased then it will make them stick causing the vehicle to stall.
Need to know the year and make, It would help answer.
