I think it is impossible to answer that question, sorry to whoever asked it :-(
I'm not really sure. All I know is that life evolves in order to survive. We don't really need to change that much right now because our technology is our defense. All other animals need to evolve because they need to in order to live on as a species. If an animal is getting eaten all the time, it can evolve to run or swim faster (depending if you are talking about fish or land animals) to avoid getting eaten or killed. It can also evolve spikes or a shell to protect it. I'm assuming that's what armadillos and turtles did. But we don't really need to evolve like that because we have medicines, doctors, homes and tools we don't need anything else. We are already dominating Earth. We can defend ourselves from so many things.
Its inevitable that we will become extinct, but we seem to be doing everything we can to commit suicide as a species, through aggression, uneccessary wars and the endless stockpiling of neuclear weapons, and the rampant destruction of the biosphere. But,we have the ability to control our destiny , as do those few people who hold power. If we choose to, we can survive long enough to evolve into a different creature- perhaps one that is less greedy and aggressive. This century, there is little doubt that this planet will exhaust its ability to sustain us at this rate of population growth. I can only hope that we don't destroy ourselves competing for resources, water, and arable land.Or, we'll survive in small numbers and have a "second wave" of human civilization, and hopefully do it a bit smarter next time.
I think our brain is as evolved as it gets. If you want to seem like your brains evolving expand it more by reading and listing to music
ADDED
Since evolution is the change in allele frequency in a population of organisms over time how does one say, '' the brain is evolved as it gets? " evolution, by definition is not very predictable at all.
i believe that everyone has an opinion and this is mine. post next to my opinion or in the discussion area if you have an opinion.
i know it will happen some day because i am one.
wizgirl~i do not believe that humans will ever evolve into super humans.
EDIT
I do not understand how the answer above is a legitimate response.
For humans becoming 'super humans' I believe this will never happen. With ignorance in the world increasing and what seems to be a 'backward swirl' as we keep going, slowly, back to the old days each year (going from one decade to another), the idea we'll evolve is long out of sight. We have the ability to push what we can do with our bodies (surely we could live longer just by eating and growing our food right) but again I digress.
No because there are so many and humans are so smart that we could keep the population alive!
We have almost certainly reached the end of our physical evolution but our brain and thinking capabilities may continue to evolve.
No, because of limiting factors and carrying capacity, Those refrain the population from exceeding indefinitely
