Theoretically - yes... The battery is a 'sealed unit' - and should be waterproof. You can place the battery on some absorbent paper - on top of a radiator for a few hours so that any water can evaporate.
There is a widely known secret that putting your phone even and Iphone in a bowl of rice after dropping you phone in water can help restore your phone. The rice will suck out the moisture from the phone.
the water probably made a short circuit in your battery so the battery is probably dead and a life saver. because the battery helped to keep the water from getting to the mainboard so the ipod still works only the battery is dead.
I had dropped my phone in water and mines doing that.
Send it to Apple Company and they will replace it (unless if it has been jailbroken)
mine is not working any more
No
put it in rice, and after about 30 min. take the battery out
The battery or a malfuction from water or being dropped.
It depends on what you prefer. If you are clumsy, or just have bad luck, it would be beneficial to get an iPhone case to prevent the phone from being cracked, dropped in water, or accumulating dust.
No the battery will not totally die but water may cause some damage to battery.normally all the batteries are water proof and they are not effected with water if water doesn't enter inside it and make a chemical reaction with it's electrolyte or whatever according to battery type.
It likely will shut down. You can try to save it by placing it in a bag of rice. This will absorb the water and hopefully save your phone.
If its in good shape, no water damage, good battery, not the 4gb version, you don't need data that's fast, don't care about the latest software, and get a good deal, then yes, among the best. If one of those is not you, find a 3g iPhone at a pawnshop or craigslist.
