Hard money lenders will not effect your credit rating in one way or another. They are not a financial institution like the banks so the Government does not back the lending so they can not effect your credit rating. The hard money lenders are for the higher risk catagories of leanders to enable them to secure a loan.

Can you return the co-signed car to the dealer?

Sure if you want to ruin your credit and end up paying the difference between what the car eventually sells for and what you owed on it. Don't do it!!! If the dealer is not the lender then he is not envolved with this in any way whatsoever. Talk to the lender and work something out.

What are the pros and cons of a short sale verses a foreclosure?

Both a foreclosure and a short sale will ruin your credit for many years. With a foreclosure, it's best to file a Chapter 7 bankruptcy to protect you from the lender. The lender has up to 10 years to come after you for the loan deficiency. For example, if you owed $200,00 on a mortgage, and it cost the lender $75,000 to re-sell your property, you could be liable for that $75,000 deficiency. On a short sale, the lender can still come after you, but the amount that is short can be issued to you on a 1099 as a "loan forgiveness" causing you to pay income tax on that money.

How does a homeowner who does NOT want to avoid foreclosure get lender to start foreclosure before delinquent?

Foreclosure is a legal process that can cost the lender tens of thousands of dollars, so they will not be filing foreclosure against you until they absolutely have to.No matter what your situation is, you do want to avoid foreclosure! Even if you don't want to keep your home, there are better ways to go about it than letting the bank foreclose on you.Just so you understand, foreclosure is not a process that just allows you to walk away. It will ruin your credit for years, and cost quite a bit of money. In most cases, you will end up owing your lender for all the fees and the remainder of your mortgage, after your home is sold at sheriff's sale. If you no longer want the property, and would like for the lender to take it back; consider a Deed-in-lieu of Foreclosure. This is an agreement to deed the property to the lender. When you speak to a CPA, the lender or a housing counselor, be sure to ask about the tax and credit implications of doing so.

Can a collection ruin your credit report?

Yes a collection can ruin your credit report. Collections are similar to charge offs and will lower your score significantly all depending on the age of the collections and the amount owed. You can remove a collection by disputing it to the credit bureaus or by contacting the original creditor and working out a deal. Either way works well. You might have to hire a credit repair service if you decide to dispute it or have the money to settle the collection if you contact the creditor directly.

Can you return a car if you can not pay it anymore?

Yes, but this will only help you avoid repo charges. your car will then be auctioned, and the difference between the auction price and what you actually owed the bank, will be the amount of $ the bank will demand from you. After turning the car in it may take upwards of 6 months before you hear anything from the bank, but rest assured, they will come for their money. Sure you can. It will also ruin your credit for 7 years. You will also pay the difference in what the lender sells the car for and what you owe. Don't do it. Work something out with the lender.

How can you earn fast credit?

There's really no way to quickly restore your credit. It takes time to ruin credit, and it takes time for people to start trusting you again with money. One good way is to get a small credit card, buy small purchases and pay it all off every month on time.
