Yes somewhat 150,000 years later scientist have createad a laser but don't know how to only extend it to a certain degree.

no but scientists are getting close...
Real lightsabers such as the ones from the popular movie series Star Wars do not exist. However there are toy plastic lightsabers or glow sticks that will light up.
Not in Medieval times.
people say yes but in like 35 years...........posted 2011
You can't purchase real lightsabers as they are purely ficticious, you can purchase replicas, but they are obviously fake.
no starwars lightsabers would be to and to heavy, but if you wanted to extend comedy then cartoon star wars will have squirrels with lightsabers
No
They first used steel swords, then experimented with what they called "Frozen Blaster" technology, but these early Lightsabers were bulky and required a cable attached to a power pack on the Jedi's belt. Further experimentation led to Lightsabers.
YEAH!
As of now, real lightsabers, as depicted in the "Star Wars" franchise, do not exist. While there are various prototypes and experimental devices that can create plasma beams or similar effects, they lack the functionality and properties of lightsabers, such as the ability to cut through objects or deflect blaster fire. The technology to create a fully operational lightsaber remains purely fictional.
Force FX lightsabers are far from childrens toys. They are fairly expensive, and are for serious collectors.
