State Farm offers young driver and student car insurance providing low rates and discounts. In several states college students are actually still covered by their parents insurance polices but if a student isn't covered by their parents or wishes to get their own they can get a quote and apply online at State Farm.
I know for me, i have to be a full-time college student [at least 14 units] to be on their insurance.
Yes, if there is not a court order mandating that the coverage be provided.
I believe it is until 18 years of age, unless the child is a full-time student.
When possessing student insurance it is of the student's choice to which and what they wish to be covered and included within their insurance, from laptops and pc's to the simplest things such as the typical sound system.
If a student is on their parents insurance they should stay on it as long as possible. However, the student's parents should check with their policy as to what benefits are available if the student does not stay in the local area. When a parent's insurance policy is not an option one can check with the school they plan to attend. Most schools offer student insurance. Another option would be for the student to purchase their own health insurance policy.
Insurance is always a good idea. While many students may be covered under their parents, having their own not only prepares them for the future it gives extra peace of mind.
No, once your 18 whether male OR female, you will no longer be covered by your parents no matter what. Not to sure about the special ed though.
Maybe. :) It depends on the insurance policy, actually. It depends also on how old you are, and why the insurance is covering you. Some policies are written to only cover full-time students, but most policies that you don't buy through the school will cover you anyway. Hopefully you are still covered, but the only way to know for sure is to ask your parents' insurance agent.
If the teenage age is 19 and not a full time student - NO - if under 19 years old or a full time student under the age of 23 maybe 26 - solely dependent on parents then in most cases YES.
As soon as the insurance company gets wind that you are married they will drop you from their coverage. If you are caught using their insurance they will probably try to charge you with fraud or cancel your parents insurance.
The basic point of student health insurance is so that the student has any accidents while he/or she is attending school. These may vary as in different packages, as for coverages and prices. The more money you invest the safer your student will be.
