Yes, the engine probably will last longer but have your mechanic inspect the vehicle to see if the rest of the vehicle will last longer. It may not be worth the expense to repair the engine if the rest of the vehicle needs more $$$$.

A check engine flashing indicates an engine cylinder misfire
An inline 6 cylinder means that the cylinders are lined up in a line. It is usually a longer engine block. A v-6 is where there are three cylinders to the left and right sides of the engine. That's it.
It does it by forcing more air/fuel into the cylinder than would be possible normally aspirated. This increases the cylinder pressure when it is ignited, for a longer/ stronger push on the piston increasing the engine's torque.
It takes longer this way, but you can crack open the bleeder valves on all four wheels then remove the master cylinder cap and fill with break fluid, keep an eye on the bleeder valves and when they start dripping shut then off as they drip. Refill and replace the master cylinder and cap then bring the engine up to temp. Don't go anywhere yet. Test the brakes with a smooth push of the break pedal, easy does it and you may have pump them up. Now shut down the engine open the master cylinder and wait until the engine compartment cools down to ambient temp.. Then refill and replace master cylinder cap and repeat, sometimes you have to wait overnight for the air to migrate up to the master cylinder. I have had to do it this way when I had no one around to help, good luck, jja
If your antifreeze got hat enough to boil, you need to find out why then replace it. It will not do the job it is supposed to.
You can find an engine diagram in your owners manual for your 1997 4 cylinder Jeep Wrangler. If you no longer have a copy of your owners manual, you can contact Jeep, and they will send you a new one.
No, it is a six-cylinder gasoline engine. If it were diesel, it would be labeled "300SDL" and make a lot more racket when the engine is running. The 300SEL is a W126 body style and is longer than the 300SE.
The longer you wait the more damage will be done to the engine due to the coolant mixing with the oil.
Depending on what you mean by breaks, if you engine is no longer pressurized the diesel will not combustion in the cylinder. Diesel has to be pressurized before it will ignite, unlike gasoline.
Two good indicators of when to replace the car's thermostat: * When you have to run the heater (no matter what time of the year) in order to keep the engine coolant from overheating, * When you no longer get ANY heat from the heater core.
