Fuel ressure regulator may be bad.
As long as the engine is running, this is normal.
try your idle control valve also your fuel pump i had a problem similar to yours and it was the fuel pump
Weak fuel pump? Plugged fuel filter?
a fuel pump is already running all the time, it is what makes the car move. but if the timing is off or the carbarator is clogged it will make the the same basic problems for the engine as a fuel pump.
The Galant has a continues fuel pump. Meaning, I think, that it runs all the time as soon as the ignition is turned on.Excess fuel (fuel that is superfluous to the correct running of the engine, is returned to the tank by means of a fuel return line.In the process this ensures a constant fuel pressure (which is monitored by the EMS) at all times.Hope this answers your question.
The fuel pump for all Astros is IN the fuel tank. You will have to safely drain the tank to get at the pump. Replace the level sensor at the same time.
The hose connects to the pump itself inside the tank is probably bad. So even though its pumping, its just dumping it right back in the tank. I own a shop and i see it all the time
If the engine is running, this is normal. If the engine is turned off and the pump continues to run all the time there is a problem, possibly a faulty fuel pump relay.
This is normal for electronic fuel injection.
As long as the engine is running, this is normal.
A whining noise from the fuel pump indicates that your fuel pump is close to failing. You should replace your fuel pump to avoid being stranded or unable to start your vehicle. All fuel pumps will emit a humming noise, but if you can hear it from inside the car, replace your fuel pump in time.
All fuel pumps are in the gas tank in the car. You have to remove the tank before you can get to the pump. Its a Easy job but its time consuming
