2nd answer - In the Catechism of the Catholic Church points 1257 - 1261, it says there that baptism is necessary for salvation or entering heaven. However, there are 3 kinds of baptism - by water, by blood and by desire. The last type applies to the question. Those who die without knowing Christ or the Church but sincerely seek God and strive to do His will can also be saved without baptism - that is what you call BAPTISM OF DESIRE.
Is it possible to be saved without Baptism?
Point 1260 states -
"Since Christ died for all, and since all men are in fact called to one and the same destiny, which is divine, we must hold that the Holy Spirit offers to all the possibility of being made partakers, in a way known to God, of the Paschal mystery" Every man who is ignorant of the Gospel of Christ and of His Church, but seeks the truth and does the will of God in accordance with his understanding of it, can be saved. It may be supposed that such persons would have desired Baptism explicitly if they had known its necessity.
These answer do not answer me. I asked if I had no way of knowing there was a God because say I was raised on an island. The only people I knew had no God in there lives or expressed a desire for one. I could not know or even think of Baptism. I however live a good live not hurting everyone and helping others. Could I go to heaven?
