Normally the DVD sets are released in the Spring of the following year in which they aired. The season 6 DVD set came out in the Spring of '08, but that season aired in '07. So most likely the season 7 set should be out sometime in Spring of '09. They will announce later this year or early '09 the official date.

Yes there will be. Unfortunately, all of the original Degrassi characters no longer attend Degrassi. Emma, Liberty, Manny, and Spinner are the only people who don't attend Degrassi but are still on the show. Emma, Liberty, and Manny are at college and Spinner is dating Jane who still goes there. So there are tons of new faces on Degrassi but fortunately, there are still people who have been on the show for a few years. Such as, Darcy, Peter, Mia, etc. Darcy's little sister is a freshman and so is Sav's little sister. But hey, at least the show's still going.
