you will loose any pictures, songs, software, anything that you haven't backed up that is currently on your hard drive. When you switch it out you will likely have to install an operating system, unless your using one out of another computer that already has the basics on it. Most likely it will be fine, if you encounter problems, switch it back.

nope. you can install one OS on the first drive. then if it's XP/vista choose manage and disk management to make the second drive active...it's about it man.
