I can tell you "no" but I cannot tell you why....
Yes; Norco is a brand name for the combination of the drugs acetaminophen and hydrocodone. Another common brand name is Vicodin. Hydrocodone is similar to codeine.
There could be complications from adding the cyclobenzaprine to the mixture. Promethazine is sometimes mixed with opiates similar to hydrocodone in pharmaceutical preparations. The combination of promethazine and hydrocodone taken orally should be safer than the combination of all three, be aware that potentially dangerous interactions could still occur. Cyclobenzaprine should not be taken simultaneously with other CNS depressants (such as promethazine and hydrocodone). Also, the combination of just promethazine and hydrocodone will still cause powerful sedation with lack of coordination and possible dizziness. Do not drive under the influence of these drugs.
If the cough syrup with codeine does not contain Dextromethorphan, yes.
Codeine is a white crystalline solid, slightly soluble in water and soluble in organic solvents. It is used to reduce pain and to suppress coughing. A mild narcotic, hydrocodone is similar to codeine. Hydrocodone also used to relieve moderate to moderately severe pain and to control coughing.
If you mean "codeine", then you can overdose if you take them together.....they are chemically similar, with Hydrocodone being a synthetic version and codeine being the naturally-occurring one.
Hydrocodone is a synthetic opioid that is made to have similar effects to that of codeine the active chemical in opium derived from the poppy plant.
Yes. Hydrocodone is a synthetic derivative of codeine. It does not contain the actual substance. I would also add that in my experience, the nausea seen with use of codeine is rarely seen with hydrocodone.
Both contain narcotics, but are not the same. Mepergan Fortis contains demerol (a narcotic) and promethazine (an antiemetic). Hydrocodone is also a narcotic, but not the same one as demerol. All narcotics are somewhat similar in that they can relieve pain, cause dependency and/or addiction as well as having sedative effects.
Vicodin* is a brand name for hydrocodone, which is different than oxycodone. The two are quite similar as they are both derived from codeine. Oxycodone however is about 50% stronger than hydrocodone (vicodin).
vicodin... Answer: Hydrocodone is the generic for Vicodin. Hydrocodone is a controlled drug in the United States and is sold by prescription. Hydrocodone itself is not sold over the counter, whereas such drugs as aspirin and others can be bought over the counter or be filled by prescription.
0%. Codeine is a natural derivitive and oxycodone is a synthetic compound very similar to codeine.
lortab is very similar to vicodin, just the dosing of Tylenol to hydrocodone is different. hydrocodone is a codeine derivative usually used for pain. this drug is a middle of the road, in strength, it is much much stronger than anything over the counter but not as strong as a percocet or a Oxycontin type. however it is still addictive.
