quick answer. Yes. If you prepare your taxes online and are receiving a refund, calculate your refund with the stimulus amount you received and with out. You will notice a big difference. Do not send it in with false information or it will be rejected! Try it both ways and see for yourself.

Will there be a one time stimulus check for social security in 2011?

so there will be a stimulus check comming out in 2013 for the year of 2012. when should this be in the mail.

Should you declare stimulus check on 2008 return?

The stimulus check is not income and you should not declare it on your tax return. You will not be taxed on it and it will not reduce your refund. However, you should take the check into consideration when filling out the Recovery Rebate Credit worksheet. This worksheet is used to determine whether you might be eligible to receive even more stimulus money than you got last year.

What if you haven't received your stimulus check on the designated date?

That depends. First, you have to be qualified. Second, your return has to have been processed by April 15. If both are true, the IRS can't do anything until it's been four weeks since the check was mailed. If you were expecting a direct deposit, it will be converted to a check if you had a refund loan or had fees deducted from the refund.

If you receive supplemental security income and social security income will you qualify to receive a stimulus check?

You cannot receive a stimulas payment for SSI because it is considered unearned income. However, you can receive it for regular Social Security Benefits since these are benefits that for tax purposes has been earned.

Why is your stimulus money late?

First, the return needs to have been processed (not just received) by April 15. If you were expecting direct deposit and you had fees deducted from the refund or received a refund loan, you'll get a check instead.
