No the 350 has always been a small block. The smallest big block made by Chevrolet was the 366 truck engine and the 396 car engine.
Your going to have trouble with that one. I remember 1974 like yesterday, but not a 366, big, or small block, from Chevy. Chevy never made a 397, it was a 396 big block engine.
