Wires
If you ground the flow of current like the last part of your question states you will not have a complete circuit as the circuit will open on a short circuit. To make a complete circuit operate you need a power source, an overload device to protect the conductors of the circuit, conductors to carry the current and a load across the power source which causes the current to flow in the circuit. Leave any one of these things out and you will not have a complete circuit.
:) It's connected together
A series circuit is a circuit that only has one path for current to flow on, a parallel circuit is a circuit that has multiple paths for current to flow on. Parallel circuits are mostly used, especially in your house/home. The reason of that is because, if a device in a series circuit electrically malfuctions or goes down, it will stop the current flow, thus ending and cuting the whole rest of the circuit. In a Parallel circuit, if a device electrically goes down, current will still be able to flow through the other circuit branches, and the rest of the circuit, thus keeping electricity flowing.
A circuit must have three basic components to make electricity flow. 1. Source of power or electricity. 2. Wires, switches and conductors through which the current can flow. 3. And finally a load to complete the circuit.
A fuse does not control the flow in a circuit, it limits the current in a circuit. If the load in a circuit shorts out the fuse link melts and opens the circuit and stops the current flow and prevents the wires feeding the circuit from melting and catching fire. resist
The resistance of the load is what causes an electric current to flow in a circuit.
The resistance of the load is what causes an electric current to flow in a circuit.
Wires
A resistor is a device designed to detect difference in current and stop the flow of electricity. On most every type of electric engine or circuit has a resistor.
Current needs only one wire to flow in, but a circuit needs at least two wires to connect the source to the load.
It will flow if there is a voltage. Basically, that implies there is an electric field that attracts or repels charged particles. It will flow if there is a voltage. Two wires are needed so that the electric current has a circuit to flow round. For a simple circuit, the voltage between the wires, multiplied by the current in amps, gives the power in watts, which is how fast energy is used up (joules per second). Also, the voltage divided by the current gives the resistance of the load, in Ohms.
The circuit will not work. In a three way lighting circuit system the middle switch needs to cross the traveller wires to be effective. A double pole switch in the circuit will just open both traveller wires and disrupt the current flow in both wires. No current flow, no lights.
When that circuit has no breaks. It is an endless path of current flow.

In a parallel circuit there are multiple possible pathways for the current to flow.
