That depends on how violent the games are that are normally played in the pool. If you have children splashing about and jumping in the water constantly, you will tend to loose more water when the pool is very full. However if there is no particularly great amount of splashing happening and the loss is due to evaporation then it Will make no difference how full or empty the pool is.

Yes, during the day, the sun evaporates the water. Also, when the moon is on the other side of the Earth, the gravitational pull pulls the water down and closer together.
