More than likely - no.
Possible shifter or linkage problem? ie: not actually going into reverse. Ummmm, you didn't zoom the tires in reverse and blow the gear did you... Hope that helps.
I tried it and it didn't work too well. I had three aftermarket transmission shifter brackets, and between them, I managed to get it to either shift from reverse to 2 low, or park to drive. The problem with the stock cable is that it is not adjustable for length. I am going to buy the B&M cable, which is adjustable. I already have the B&M shift lever.
Is every gear essentially reverse now?
my 2002 ford escape sensor is misfiring and it won't shift into drive
my lincoln town car started with not going into park and now it wont go in reverse what is wrong and how do i fix it
yes
When the shifter goes to the reverse position a switch is depressed to turn on the back up lights. The switch is most likely on the top of the transmission.
Tranny is going out
Yes the revo 3.3 does have reverse. There is a 3rd channel on the transmitter to allow you to switch form forwards to reverse. There is also an opti drive which stops you from going into to reverse when you are going fast forward.I have a revo 3.3 with reverse and i took out the reverse because you cannot use it in races. But if you are just messing around in your back yard or something and not racing i recommend keeping the reverse!
Most shifters are held in with retaining clips that you access through the top, around the shifter shaft.
No, it is more commonly done than going forwards out of a driveway.
It will probably start out as a rotating squeak then when it gets worse you will hear a loud clink going from drive to reverse or reverse to drive. In it's final stages you will feel a vibration also.
