intake no, heads yes.
Yes. The smaller valves will increase the low-end torque and limit the top-end horsepower potential, and the smaller combustion chambers will likely increase the compression ratio a bit.
Putting 305 heads on a 350 block might increase the compression ratio if the combustion chambers are smaller, and they might improve low end torque at the expense of top end horsepower if the valves are smaller. Not sure how that would effect crankcase pressure, if at all.
it should de-stroke it to something around a 327. it will fit but be sure to check for crank to piston and piston to head cylinder top clearance to ensure you don't run into engine detonation. ummm no 305 and 350 have same stroke a 400 crank would make it a 334... same main and rod journals also stroke is 3.48
No 305 heads bolt up different then 350 heads If they are 305 vortec they will bolt up. However they do not have the same flow. The 305 vortec head has smaller runners, smaller valves and does not have the same heart shape combustion chamber. Now if you meant the older 305 heads onto a 350 vortce then no they will not. The vortec uses raised runners and the ports will not match. On top of it all the 5.7 vortec has more flow then any other production head. Placing a 305 head in its place would be going backwards.
Yes, they should bolt on just fine. Might get a little more low-speed torque with a decrease in top-end horsepower.
157 With the 350 140 with the 305 (TPI) Assume the speeds will be less depending on age of the car and if the motor is bone stock
Rebuilding an ATV top end takes some knowledge of engines. Check out my bio page for help.
if you have a 305 or a 350 the coil is located on top of your destibutor cap. simply pop of the cover and there it is you do not need to take the distributor cap off, to access the coil
depends on if your doing the top or bottom end. TOP END: about 200 bucks if you do it yourself about 400 to have it done BOTTOM END: about 350 do it yourself about 450 have it done. email me with any questions peewadin@aol.com
There is room to install the largest engine Chevy ever made. You may have to do some modifications but you can make it fit. A 350 would sit in nicely. I am looking at a 55 Belaire rag top that has a 350 in it now.
hopefully just a carburetor adjustment
no, they will get stuck and jam your gun because the top of it is to fat to fit in the barrel, (but if you take the top off, put something heavy in the end of the dart, like a bb, and put hotglue on the top, it should work)
