As long as the bolt pattern is the same you shouldn't have any problems.

check the axles. if the axles are the same and its the same lug nut pattern then yes it should work just fine.
Look up the '88 Ford and '94 Ford in the RockAuto.com part catalog and compare the part numbers for the two years to see which parts are interchangeable.
The engine will fit and work the only thing you may have to do is change the motor mounts, the computer and wiering harness but it shoulod be fine
There is very little chance this will work.I believe the Tempo is much closer in design to the Escort series than the larger Taurus/Sable.Personally, I wouldn't pursue this particular effort. Find one from a Tempo/Topaz.
