Sure someday Playstation will make a new console. They just released the PS Vita as a new portable. When the new console is developed they will announce it many months before the actual release. The console will have to be given to game developers over a year before the actual console release to allow games to be developed for the new console. Most games that are unique and not part of an annual series take 2 years to develop and a console needs some great games for a successful release. The Nintendo Wii announced that they would be doing a new console called the Nintendo Wii U at the E3 held in the Summer 2011 and it is almost time for the Sumner 2012 E3 electronics show and the Wii U still does not have a release day and only a general period. Amazon allows you to only Sign up to be notified when Nintendo Wii U becomes available
