Will there be a new iPhone this year?

In my opinion I'd say no. Here's why. Despite all the speculation an obviously photoshopped pictures there is no credible evidence that there will be. In 2008 apple announced the 2.0 software at the same time as the announcement of the iPhone 3G, this created quite a demand which increased stock prices this making shareholders more money. Smart business, nothing that would surprise anyone that knows how Apple does things. This year they are preaching the heck out of the 3.0 software but are not mentioning anything of a new phone. If they were releasing a phone they would mention it asap to increase shareholder value and their own marketshare. They won't deny it outright simply because saying nothing creates a buzz. As the saying goes any publicity is good publicity. So in closing that's the logic behind it. All these people speculating are just trying to cause a stir, unfortunetly all they have for proof are unnamed sources, or leaked information from foreign countries. I'm so sure I'm right I upgraded from my original iPhone to a 3G yesterday after researching the matter for a couple days. There is no evidence to imply that Apple has any intention of releasing a new phone before 2010. Not when the 3G is still creating such a large profit. It's just smart business to milk an item for all it's potential profit before you release a new version. Look at sony's playstation, microsofts xbox or even apples iPod. Atleast a couple years between releases, why you say? Because one year is barely enough time to get the people interested in the product let alone make the maximum amount if profit from it.
