Considering the fact the Super Mario Bros. was a complete failure, Nintendo won't adapt a video game to the big screen again. Though it is the 21st century and technology has advanced significantly, I can't see why Nintendo won't go back in to the movie business. We have the technology to do it. My guess is that they don't want to screw up....again. Super Mario Bros. was $20 million shy of reaching the movies budget which was around the $40 million mark. Since The Legend of Zelda is one of the most iconic video game series that is produced by the company, I can see why Nintendo doesn't want to take the risk. Fans of Super Mario were already upset at how the movie was made, so I am assuming Nintendo doesn't want to make Zelda fans angry if they mess up one of the most beloved video game story's of all time. I would love to see a Zelda movie on the big screen. They just need to have a good story and director. A story is only as good as its director.

Was the Legend of Zelda movie good?
I'm really sorry, but the whole "Legend of Zelda Movie" was a big hoax. I was so depressed when I found out the truth, I sulked around for a few days. It's exposure as a scam was inevitable, though; how could someone produce a movie starring a mute main character? I like to picure the graphics for a Legend of Zelda movie, if they ever have one. On an end note, the movie wasgood, inside my imagination.

A number of scripts have been pitched to Nintendo for a Legend of Zelda film, which have all been turned down. Nintendo does not seem to be keen on turning any of their games into movies after the Super Mario Bros. movie a number of years ago, which was a failure. Most likely, there won't be a Zelda movie, but none of us can be sure.
