No. Heroin, morphine, codeine, & opium are the only drugs tested for by the standard opiate test on your typical "SAMHSA-5" (previously known as the "NIDA-5 " standardized urine test). This is because the common metabolite morphine is produced with use of the opiates mentioned above. This is not the case with most other opiates & synthetic opiates (opioids).. such as hydrocodone. Therefore the standard 5-panel urine test will not show a positive result for opiates proceeding Vicodin use. This is also true of any other type of drug test: including blood tests & hair tests. Hydrocodone/Vicodin will not show up as heroin, but can be tested for separately (see below).

Hydrocodone (the active opioid in Vicodin) is included on extended NIDA/SAMHSA tests, along with other opiates/opioids such as: propoxyphene (Darvocet/Darvon), methadone, oxycodone (Oxycontin, Percocet), & less often: buprenorphine (Suboxone), fentanyl (Duragesic), & hydromorphone (Dilaudid).

If you did heroin on Friday and your drug test is on monday will it show up?

Maybe / maybe not, as opiates stay in your system on an average of 3 - 5 days. Go to the local pharmacy and buy a home drug test kit, there are several types so read the box to see what it tests for. If your testing for heroin it has to say that it tests for opiates. Good luck. Jail sucks.

How long after you are prescibed hydrocodone can you use your bottle to pass a drug screen?

I've been wondering the same thing and according to everything that I've read, a prescription for Vicodin and other Benzos is considered valid for 180 days (3 months). Percocet is valid for 30 days (1 month) and everything else is good for a year.

Watson 349 white pills what are they?

Watson 349 is Vicodin: 500mg Acetominiphen and 5mg Hydrocodone bitartrate. Note that pills ordered from some overseas online pharmacies may bear good looking imprints like this but may not be the drug they appear to be. Watson 349 is a generic version for Vicodin manufactured by Watson Pharmaceuticals, US. It is a pain reliever. In addition to Vicodin, the combination of Acetamninophen & Hydrocodone is also marketed worldwide under other brand names that include Lortab and Norco. Watson Pharmaceuticals manufactures Acetaminophen-Hydrocodone in other strength combinations, different from 500mg/5mg, too (e.g., Watson 3202 - 325mg/5mg, Watson 503 - 650mg/10mg, etc).

What does methadone read as in a drug test?

Unfortunately, < Methadone > registers as an opiate, It will show A DIRTY result. THE one giving the drug test should be made aware of Methadone use. Because the nature of Methadone use is that it is prescribed to bring a Heroin user to safely Kick or stop using Heroin. For if the user is to stop abruptly, it more than likely cause a fatality the cannot handle the abruptiveness. Of course the shock and pain is quite strong.

Does vicodin show up as an opiate on a blood test?

The answer to your question, if taken literally, is: Vicodin does show up as an opiate on a blood test since Vicodin contains hydrocodone, which is an opiate. If I "read between the lines," then I strongly believe that there is more to your question. That is exactly why I like to explain my answers. Please let Wiki.Answers know if you prefer an explaination along with the answer to your question, or do you only want the answer? If your question is closer to "Will a sample of blood test positive for an opiate if someone took Vicodin lately?" then the answer is: "It depends." It is more likely than not that a blood sample will test positive for opiates provided that the opiate concentration is sufficiently high. The "sufficiently high" part of the answer is the primary reason no one can give you a definite "Yes" or "No" without additional information. There has to be enough of the drug in a person's blood or urine for it to be detected, and the amount of drug that can be detected depends on the drug a sample is being tested for and on the method used to detect the drug.

Can Tylenol 3 and vicodin turn into morphine when you take it?

Are you f*cking stupid? Tylenol 3 is acetaminophen and codiene, and Vicodin is acetaminophen and hydrodone. Simply put, no the worst you'll do by taking both of them is destroy the lining of your stomach from too much acetaminophen, and get f*cked up off the drugs already there. They don't suddenly go through wild unnatural chemical conversions. Atleast know about drugs before you go poppin them.

Are there any limits on the number of refills for vicodin prescriptions?

it all depends on what the docter perscribed. read the bottle it says if you have refills and how many you can get

What does Lortab show up on a drug screen as?

It will always show up on a test, but how depends on the test. It is an opiate, so it is positive for opiates. Some tests can tell the difference between different opiates (morphine versus hydrocodone).

How do you determine the dose of a drug?

What is the active ingredient in heroin?

The "ingredients" in heroin is merely the drug, heroin (although its chemical name is diacetyl-morphine); the drug got its renown trade name (heroin) shortly after it's discovery/development and it has stuck (for example, in opposition we call morphine by its chemical name; which is morphine, and not by its trade name, or brand name it was sold under when it was first developed). In regards to other added substances in black-market heroin, this varies.. and they generally do not contribute to any of the psychoactive effects (unless an antihistamine is used as a cutting agent, this will cause added sedation and will minorly potentiate the opiate-effects). Quinine is also a common ingredient in black-market heroin. But in general, added substances to heroin vary greatly and are more likely to consist of "fillers" cheaply and readily available to the drug dealer and are therefore impossible to identify without a lab analysis. But calling added substances "ingredients" is somewhat of a misnomer. They are only found in black-market grade heroin (and not "medical grade" heroin, as available in some western countries, although not in the U.S.); and can be seen more as a "contaminant" than an "ingredient", and in fact, a lot of these added substances and the impurity of black-market quality heroin contribute to its major health effects when injected. Since not all substances are meant for injection and can cause complications, or if handling of the drug caused bacterial contamination--regular intravenous use can lead to: stroke, heart attack, gangrene, limb amputation, infection, and/or organ damage (these would not be normal side effects if pure or medical grade heroin were being used, and injected in a safe fashion). To repeat myself, the only ingredient that is supposed to technically be in heroin; is diacteylmorphine. In some instances, if heroin is improperly, inadequately, or poorly synthesized from morphine and opium some left over, unreacted opiate alkaloids or plant matter (originally found in opium, the base material from which heroin is made) may remain in the final product. And in some rare cases, black marketheroin will not actually contain diacetylmorphine at all, but will rather contain a different opiate or opiates. The most common of these substitutes are: morphine, the-more-potent drug fentanyl, other fentanyl derivatives (alfentanil, sufentanil, remifentanil, carfentanil), or the specific fenantyl derivative alpha-methylfentanyl which was the active ingredient in the drug sold as "china white heroin." Because most all opiates are cross tolerant with each other, the user will notice little to no difference in the substitution if the strength is kept relatively stable and if a short-acting opiate is used (if a longer acting opiate is used, the user will notice a less profound "rush"). And of course at some other times, the drug presented as "heroin" wont contain any diacetylmorphine or any opiate at all. (i.e., the user got ripped off!)
