I have been looking into this. It doesn't seem anyone feels there are health risks. I can tell you this: Wellbutrin does not get along with any other drug. It seems like anything that disrupts the workings of Wellbutrin is spoiled by it. It is a very jealous drug, and that's why it helps with nicotine addiction. I have always been very adventerous with substances. I have not found anything that agrees with Wellbutrin. You will be hard pressed to devise a combo I haven't already attempted. Again, I can't speak medically on this, but your enjoyment will be affected. As for actual pain relief, it helps. I broke my ankle and was on Norcos for months. But, you will deal with the conflicts I speak of. Basically, Wellbutrin will amplify the negative aspects of any chemical experience. With Hydrocodone, this means increased irritability, depression, etc. That is my observation, after 11 years on/off with Wellbutrin - added to a very stubborn taste for altered states.

Vicodin will help alleviate withdrawal from Oxycontin and pretty much any other opiate you may be withdrawing from. The trick is to be strong and not take enough to get high, but just enough to "get you through the day." Only take enough to take away the feeling of jumping out of your skin. If you can be strong and slowly wean yourself off using Vicodin.

A benzo such as Klonopin or Valium is also recommended to help symptoms, but is widely argued as not being a good idea due to the risk of trading in one addiction for another. You should only use benzos for a short period of time, and most people who have become addicted to opiates will become addicted to benzos, especially if they enjoyed mixing the two before.

Stock up on vitamins and start running once you get past the 4-5 day hump. There have been many stories of opiate and heroin recovering addicts who have turned to running because of the adrenaline rush that is similar to an opiate high.

Good luck. Oh, and dont forget the Immodium AD!

Sort of but in the end you will just end up addicted to hydrocodone. The best is methadone or suboxone, however these are also highly addictive. But they are used for opiate detox.
