20 Volume Peroxide (or developer) is required for coloring white hair. It lifts & deposits in one step.
Usually 30 volume peroxide is mixed with lightener for blonding purposes. Or for lifting 3 levels with color.
Yes, 6% or 20 Volume peroxide is ideal for mixing with red hair color.
If the target color is only one level lighter, use 20 volume. If it's more than one level, use 30 volume. 40 volume is generally not recommended and should only be used by experienced professional hair colorists.
Putting bleach, or peroxide, in your hair, will cause it to become a lighter shade of whatever color it already is. They strip the color from your hair and leave it very rouch and horrible to the touch.
You would bleach to get a lighter color, usually using a peroxide solution.
no it makes your hair lighter
Its not the volume as in the amount, Its the volume as in the percentage 10vol would be less than 40vol. higher the vol the lighter and faster it lightens..remember faster is not always better..damage damage damage........
The only hair coloring I have found with NO peroxide and NO ammonia is Loving Care. I like to use a shade just a little lighter to cover the gray hair and not change the light brown color of my natural color. This gives a two-toned NATURAL look to my hair! I believe Natural Instincts DOES have peroxide or something like it in the lighter shades. It totally bleached out my light brown hair so I know this is true! I had to let it grow out. I didn't want to change hair color, only wanted to cover the gray hairs with a blond color. So do NOT do this with Natural Instincts.
Hydrogen peroxide are mixed with dye and or lightener/bleach to make your hair lighter.
Yes. The color will develop slightly lighter than the color on the box or hair swatch.
10 volume developer is used to deposit hair color. if you have a lighter color and want to go darker you should used the volume 10.
