Vista is an upgrade to XP. They are both operating systems so they will not run concurrently. It is not the same as Word or any other application which is what I believe you think they are. It is an either or situation for most users. You can set up a dual boot partition with XP on one partition and Vista on the other and select which OS to use on bootup. Not a thing for beginner users to do.
They are "compatible" in the sense that many applications that run on Windows XP will run on Windows Vista.
Yes ofcourse, Windows Vista is upgraded version of Windows XP. Obviously it can run Windows XP applications.
Windows Vista can already run most XP applications, with no need for any additional software.
Most programs that run on Windows XP will also run on Windows Vista.
Yes, I have used it with Vista
You might get it to download it depends on how you do it,but "xp word" will not run on vista there are too many differences in the way vista utilizes programs. It's just not compatible, sorry.
Depends, if a game would not run on a xp there could be three problemsComputer lacks system req.Game was built for vistathe game is older than the xp operating systemIf you want to run an xp game on a vista it should work just fine. in some cases it will not work. but its a 98% shot it will.
The easiest way is to format the system partition and install Windows Xp and then Vista. If you install Xp after Vista you might have to edit BOOT.INI manually. I beleave Vista will not allow you installing Xp when it's runnning. So you need a bootable XP (and Vista Home) CD/DVD. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Actually it is possible to run both Windows XP and Windows Vista on the same computer but you will have to set up a Dual Boot setting up 2 partitions, formatting them to NTFS format, then installing XP on the first partition then Vista on the second. Hope I could help ~Dalton-sama
On an Intel mac you can run parallels which is capable of running xp and vista.
There's no such thing as an "XP PowerPoint." Microsoft PowerPoint is compatible with presentations made in previous versions, including versions that may run on XP but not on Vista (like 97 or 2000).
The game of the year was in Windows XP/VISTA as was MW2 & WAW, Black Ops was in Vista/7/XP
You should buy an upgrade version of Windows Vista however your computer if running XP is likely not to be powerful enough to run windows vista. You should run Microsoft Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor before upgrading as this will show you any problems your computer may have running Vista.
