That would depend on how many calories you are getting in the other meals. The average human can go about a month with out food before dying; this is effected by the amount of calories burned while starving and how much fat and muscle tissue the person is starting with.
Slow starvation may occur if a person is denied the proper amount of calories per day. The body's response to less calories is usually a slowing of the metabolism, but this can only go so far. Human fat can store some vitamins but to meet the needs of vital functions the body will sacrifice some parts to preserve others. For example, the skeletal muscles which are used for voluntary movement will be reduced to sustain the heart muscles that are needed to pump blood.
Many people around the world do not have the luxury of three (or even two) meals a day.
