Most CPAP machines plug directly in the wall. If you're talking about using a CPAP while camping or somewhere without power, you can buy batteries specifically for your CPAP machine.
A CPAP machine can damage a person'a ears. The CPAP blows air into the middle ear using pressure and causes problems that are difficult to treat.
I used my cpap while I had bronchitis and it made me feel at ease because it opened up my airways and allowed me to take deeper breaths to breathe

The best CPAP cleaner is a device called VirtuCLEAN, manufactured from VirtuOx. It’s a small, lightweight, and portable CPAP cleaning device that kills 99.9% of germs and bacteria. Instead of using soap, water, or cleaning solution, it uses ozone to clean and sanitize your CPAP equipment. Because ozone is a gas, it reaches every nook and cranny of your equipment, cleaning it much better than any other cleaning method. The CPAP mask is connected to the machine using special tubing also known as a hose. One end of the hose connects to an elbow or an adapter on the bottom of the mask. The other end of the hose connects to the CPAP machine output joint. It should fit snuggly, but not be difficult to attach. If it is, then you may not have the right size hosing or adapter for the mask/machine you are using and should contact your Respiratory Therapist, Physician, or CPAP supplier for help in trouble shooting this problem.
The Cpap pillow helps one sleep in a better position to open up their airways for better breathing while asleep. Because sleep apnea is a dangerous condition doctors recomend the pillow to open the airway of sufferers.
There are many possibilities as an outcome of not using your cpap. The most likely outcome is a decrease in the quality of sleep the patient receives. The worst possible outcome would be an adverse apnea event which resulted in death. You should always check with your physician or respiratory therapist before stopping cpap therapy on your own. Most likely there is something they can do or recommend to improve the situation you are having.
It may be because you are not using a humidifier integrated with the CPAP machine. The constant flow of dry air can be quite irritating causing coughing and sore throats among other things.
Is it safe? Well that would depend on several factors. If you were using a tent and had a way to keep it out of the direct elements, it should be fine. You would not however want to expose it to too much moisture such as rain, snow, etc. However there are some cheaper alternatives that could be purchased, lets call them portable cpap machines, for lack of a better word. These are cheaper and would not be as efficient/reliable as your home cpap, but if it was slightly damaged, you wouldn't be out the full cost of the home machine.
