Well I guess you can. See, when you don't eat anything for a couple of days or starve yourself, your body keeps all the fat inside of you and won't work properly. So if you don't eat while on your period, or any time of a while, your scale might tell you you lost weight. But once you start eating again, you gain it all back since your body needs the nutrients it missed. So, make sure you eat during your period but good foods like bananas to help the cramps or less salty things to decrease the bloating. So really, you can really get fat if you don't eat while on you period unless the diet during it is like the one above of not eating.
