yes you must go so that you will explain how you got it and the police will have much information about where the weed is coming from ADDED: (in the US) 8 ounces of marijuana is greater than a "personal use" amount in almost every jurisdiction I am aware of. That means you would most likely be charged with "Possession With Intent To Distribute" (i.e.: you would be treated as a dealer) and you probably WILL go to jail.
