That depends whether you let your parrot out of it's cage whilst the cat is in the room.
It is possible for a cat to not want to eat a parrot, but in that case, they would have had to have been brought up together since almost birth. Much like some people own cats and dogs; they usually only get along if they've known eachother for as long as they can remember.
if your cat is a 'big cat' e.g. lion or leopard then maybe your cat might eat you, but if it is a ten year old tabby then no..... definitely not...
