recessive genes. the gene for brown eyes and curly, dark hair are dominate, but blue eyes and straight light hair can pop up two or three generations later.
Answerboth my parents have brown eye but both my grandpa's have blue eye. I have blue eyes. something to do with recessive and dominant genes. AnswerBoth of the above answers mention Recessive Genes but do not really explain how they work so I will try to explain. Every gene in the body has a copy from each parent called Alleles. Each gene may be one of two forms (like brown or blue eyes). The reccessive allele is given a lowercase letter and the dominant allele is given the uppercase letter. So BB means both alleles are for brown eyes, bb means both alleles are for blue eyes and finally Bb means there is one allele of each. For a recessive trait to appear both the alleles must be for this trait but if any of the alleles are for the dominant genes then the dominant trait will show. So for if you wife has blue eyes her alleles are bb but you might have BB or Bb. If your child has blue eyes then you must be Bb. Each parent passes only one of there alleles onto the child so your wife will have to pass on one of her b alleles. For the child to be blue eyed it must have received your b allele not you B allele to make it bb and thus have blue eyes.In order for a child to have red hair both parents have to carry the red hair gene which the odds of your child having red hair is slim. It is already said that it is rare for children to have red hair anymore and can in the near future be the end of red heads.
well somewhere down your family tree or his family tree there is proubuly a couple of people who have blonde hair and blue eyes, like my BF has blonde hair and her mom dad and sibblings have brown so it is all with genes.
Some traits skip a generation. Her coloring came from a grandparent.
the child received genetic information from each parent.
It will have no eyes. So there! The child probably will have a lighter haircolour, and it can have both brown eyes and blue eyes,
any color i know two people with blond hair that had a child with black hair one with brown hair and one with black hair any color i know two people with blond hair that had a child with black hair one with brown hair and one with black hair
brown eyes are dominant over blue eyes. hair colors can mix, or be one or the other. for both, you need to go further back in both your gene pools for more evidence.
Blue eyes are recessive to brown eyes. So if the mother is heterozygous for brown eyes then it is possible for the child to have blue eyes. However if the mother is homozygous for brown eyes than the child will have brown eyes. Since both parents are brunettes, the child will definitely have brown hair as well.
grey
It's possible that the child will have black, brown or red hair.

NO. See the answer for "Reason for brown hair and blue eyes"
Probably brown hair and eyes; blue and blonde are both genetically "weaker" traits.
auburn hair and green eyes is more rare than brown hair with blue eyes
Roald Dahl has green eyes and blond hair
the baby will most likely have brown hair and blue eyes because brown hair is the dominate hair color gene over red hair and blue eyes are more dominate of a gene than green eyes
