I actually had ADHD when I was a child and my parents tried cutting out sugar and it didn't work people talk about how sugar creates more hyperness and therefore when Your child eats sugar you are actually paying more attention to his behavior and so you see it more often, where you aren't looking for behavior changes when he eats food that is considered more healthy. the fact is that sugar is in fact a sedative and actually creates tiredness in children. So it is in fact not true that sugar will make a child hyper. Their is not really a special diet. Most children aren't really hyperactive. In our society we want calm sedated children, in the old days children were more active and played more.
