1 kg of uranium235 will give as much energy as 1,500,000 kg of coal, so that indicates the difference between nuclear and chemical reaction output. Fusion gives a bit more per kg of fuel than does fission-but we don't know how to use it yet.

How are fusion and fission similar to chemical energy?

They are not similar, as fusion and fission involve changes to the nucleus whereas chemical energy involves the bonds between atoms

Where do you get nuclear energy?

Nuclear energy is obtained through fission and fusion reactions.

What type of reactions can generate the most energy of nuclear?

Fusion and fission nuclear reactions.

What chemical reaction produces the sun and energy?

These are not chemical reactions but thermonuclear reactions.

What are the 3 main types of nuclear reactions?

Nuclear fission: When an element breaks apart to form lighter elements and other sub-atomic particles. Nuclear fusion: When two lighter elements fuse to form heavier ones.

Did the energy that is stored in fossil fuels come from fission or fusion reactions from the sun?

Not fission. The sun's energy is produced by nuclear fusion, and that energy produced all the vegetation which turned into fossil fuel.

What Is the sun an example of fission fusion or chemical reactions?

The sun is an example of Nuclear Fusion. It combines 2 hydrogen atoms to make a Helium atom. In the process it turns mass into energy.

What isdifference nuclear fission and nuclear fission?

The difference between Fusion and Fission is that Fission is easier to do and produces more energy than fusion reactions. However fission can be dangerous and is used in Nuclear reactors. Fusion however is safer and produces less energy but safely. It is quite difficult to cause a Fusion reaction however.

Example of heat energy?

sun, fire ,and stove are all examples of heat energy! For example heat released during chemical reactions, nuclear fission, nuclear fusion, etc.

How is a nuclear fission reaction controlled in nuclear reactor?

Reactions that involve nuclei, called nuclear reactions, result in a tremendous amount of energy. Two types are fission and fusion.
